Palace of the Harp
The façade of the Town Hall is characterised by a double triumphal arch overlooked by three elegant balconies. Between the two arches surges a lavish portal that bears a quadrangular cross section enclosed by an embossed frame. In this frame, in 1938, a plaque was placed that exalted the policies of the Duce, while today in its place there is a clock. The palace was built in the seventeenth century by the Oddo family on the site of the ancient door that lead into the city-fortress of Zabut. It was later given up to the Jury of Time so that it could become the Town Hall. It was restored at the end of the 1960’s and today belongs to the municipality. Inside its walls works of modern art by famous citizens of Sambuca are preserved.
