Ravidà Palace is without a doubt the building that most represents the eighteenth century neoclassic style of this area. It was built in sandstone in around 1775 by the Ravidà Ferrantelli family that used it as a summer residence.
The rich façade, preceded by a courtyard paved with a cobblestone mosaic, is characterised by a portico formed by four columns with Doric capitals. These stand on wide steps that support an elegant Doric entablature with alternating triglyphs and metopes. Above rests a small tower with a terrace bordered by a balcony and spread out pillars.
The magnificent internal halls were originally paved with precious majolica by Saint Stephan of Camastra. In some of these it is still possible to admire the original neoclassic frescoes that decorated the vaults with floral and zoomorphic motifs.
