Church of Our Lady of Sorrows

The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows lies on the ruins of a former ancient church. It dates back to 1813 and inside preserves a copy of the altarpiece depicting “The Mourning of the Dead Christ” by Mariano Rossi, the famous eighteenth century painter. Also kept in the church is a wooden statue of “Our Lady of Sorrows”, a nineteenth century piece by the Agrigento sculptor Calogero Cardella.
