Agrigento

Siculiana is an attractive hillside village founded in 1310 under the barony of Fredrick the II Chiaramonte. Some historians have linked the site to the legendary Camico of the Sicans, on whose rocks the celebrated architect Dedalo built a palace for the Sican king Cocalo. This palace staged the eventful death of Minosse, who came from the far kingdom of Crete in search of the fugitive Dedalo.
