Church of Our Lady of Mercy

Founded in 1630, at the same time as the convent adjacent to the church of the Mercedari priests, by princess Giovanna Isfar et Corillas, daughter of the founder of the city. The very linear façade features two rosettes and is flanked by two pilasters that define the corners and culminate in two small spires, from which the bell tower rises. The portal is characterised by corrugated ashlars. Inside the church you can find the statue of Our Lady of Mercy, co-patroness of the town, carrying her Son. The church used to house the Mausoleum of the founder of Cattolica, Don Francisco Isfar et Corillas, which today is unfortunately destroyed.
