Wall paintings
Town Center
Vita (TP)
On the walls and on the portals of uninhabited houses in the old centre you can see numerous murals, carried out by contemporary painters, that in a realistic manner represent the moments of life lived, the trades and the traditions of the long gone farming community. In 2001 the murals inspired by the “Feast of Our Lady of Tagliavia” were completed. The panels inside the Community Centre Auditorium represent “The various expressions of art”, while those inside the Town Hall were created on occasion of the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the town.
One evokes the main symbol of the town, while the other portrays Garibaldi during the Battle of Pianto Romano.
A 2010 mural was also dedicated to Garibaldi, for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, depicting Garibaldi and his followers on a background of the Italian flag.
