Vita (TP)
The Mother Church, of which remains a single stone in the square after sadly being demolished following the earthquake in January 1968, was the most important monument in the history of Vita. It was built in the first half of the eighteenth century on the design by Giovan Biagio Amico and although the work went on until 1774, it was left unfinished. The lightly oval capitals on which were repeated the carvings and the architectural shapes of the doorframes and the rounded architrave were the most beautiful and artistic details of the whole façade and refined the entire structure. The door was also made in tuff, elegantly framed by two pilasters and crowned by a curved pediment.
