Saint Giacomo Palace is a monumental building, carried out in 1847 on a design by Salvatore Gravanti, and is distinguished for the different architectural styles of it various parts, ranging from Empire style to Neo-gothic style.
Perollo Palace is one of the most attractive and well preserved palaces from the XV century. The building has a rectangular plan, with three refined gothic mullioned windows and a Baroque balcony, with curved railings that were added in the eighteenth century. The body of Giacomo Perollo, killed by followers of Sigismondo Luna during the famous ‘Caso di Sciacca’ family battle, was left for two days in front of this palace.
Inveges Palace has preserved its Baroque motifs well, such as the beautiful curved railing above the large entrance door facing the small Inveges square. It was home to a noble family from Sciacca between the XVII and the XVIII centuries, from whom it takes its name.
Arone Palace, of remarkable dimensions, is particularly important in as much as it is one of the few that has survived in such good condition. The double mullioned windows of the main floor have columns on which you can see the coat of arms of the Argomento family. The most interesting features derive from the Gothic-Baroque style of the structure, in particular the beautiful Catalan staircase that connects the courtyard to the main floor.
Tagliavia Palace, built in the XV century, was renovated in the XIX century at the wishes of Giuseppe Tagliavia, who wanted to respect the original fifteenth century structure. The current palace was a project by the architect Gavanti, who in 1889 gave the Sciacca residence its elegant neo-Gothic style.
