Nino Cordio Museum
The Museum is entirely dedicated to the work of the painter and sculptor Nino Cordio, who was born in Santa Ninfa in 1937 and died in Rome in 2000. The exhibition space contains an organic collection of the artist’s work, thus offering representations of each of his periods of activity and experimentation. Other than the large donation of etchings that the author decided to give to the municipality of his birth city a short time before his death, visitors can also admire drawings, sculptures, oil paintings and frescos loaned free of charge by his relatives. The museum is additionally fitted with a video projection room, a multimedia room for teaching, studio-spaces in which the artist’s work environment has been reconstructed and a theatre hall in which cultural events linked to the museum’s collections are staged.
