Giuliana

Palermo

The first settlements in the Giuliana territory date back to the late imperial age, in fact its name comes from gens Julia, trustees of the land. In the Swabian-Aragonese period the inhabited area was walled and, at the wishes of Frederick II, fortified with a castle. In addition to the latter, which was recently restored, Giuliana has many tourist attractions, including the historic centre, Saint Anne’s park, various churches and the still much celebrated religious festivals.
