Olive production in the region of Menfi boasts an age-old tradition that, thanks to the discovery of ancient millstones close to the Temples of Selinunte, dates back to the V century BC. Extra-virgin olive oil is an essential ingredient in every recipe originating from the area and is extracted from the most widely spread local varieties (Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara del Belìce) using learned methods that preserve the noted aromatic characteristics and purity of the oil.
