Resinata Woods

The Resinata Wood lies around 4 km from the historic centre of Sambuca and forms, together with Lake Arancio, part of a vast protected area managed by LIPU. It was created in 1950 with the plantation of woodland species in an area previously used as land for pasture. It is largely made up of pine and eucalyptus but in some parts the presence of spontaneous species such as the juniper is still visible. Inside the wood a picnic area has been set up, equipped with tables, benches, cooking points, hygiene services and a small playground for children.
