Seccagrande Beach

The Seccagrande Beach is the most popular in Ribera and situated around 10 km from the city centre. Formed by a long strip of pebbles, it extends on one side all the way to the mouth of the river Magazzolo, while on the other it forms a protruding arch in the sea that ends in a large shoal. Along the “Gagarin” beachfront there are a series of bars that are very popular with Ribera locals and tourists during the summer season. Many visitors are also drawn to Ribera by the fish competitions, games on the beach and the many events sponsored by the municipality. The firework games accompanied by music are particularly impressive, they take place on the beach every year at midnight on the 15th of August and are also clearly visible from the bars along the beach.
